Poor Ussah. During the reading assignment today, 2 of the 3 chapters involved moving the Rk of God form one place to another. In the first chapter, it was transported on a (new) cart by oxen. And then in the last chapter (15), it was transported by the Levites using poles (either on their shoulders or in their hands).
When the oxen stumbled and Uzzah reached out to HELP and steady the Ark, for some reason God got angry and killed him on the spot. What IS it with God that He would do this? Here we have a man with good intentions, but God punishes him. So confused as I read the Bible slowly.

David was no saint either. We all know about Bathsheba, and now he takes on many new wives in chapter 14. That's another thing that is confusing. One man, many wives, but in the NT, Jesus APPEARS to indicate it should be just one man and one woman in a marriage. I've got a lot of questions when I get to Heaven.

    God is great!

It may take practice to think more positively and more compassionately, but just as you must train a puppy to behave the way you want it to, you must train your mind to behave itself. Otherwise, like the puppy, your mind will just make a lot of messes.

Given that we glimpse what distinguishes man from the beast, is there anything that distinguishes woman from man?
