Here's a scary passage: "...and the Lord was not willing to forgive." (24:4b)
NOT WILLING TO FORGIVE? I thought we are taught about a loving God to always forgave those who would finally come to Him! Not willing to forgive? Argh! What if God is like that now, in OUR lifetimes. Say we continue to sin (as we WILL do), will God be willing to forgive us for these sins? If murderers on death row repent and 'come to Jesus', will God be 'unwilling to forgive."? Scary thought indeed. I know that once saved, always saved, is not what the NT teaches as many authors talk about losing one's salvation. But that is because of things WE do (or choose NOT to do), not because God is 'unwilling to forgive'.

HAS God changed? Is He now an all-loving God, or does He still have anger in His heart for sinners? Jesus loved sinners (but not the sin) and convinced many to change their ways. In this manner, we are taught that those who repent will be given a spot in Heaven some day. But what if, just what if, God decides that He is unwilling to forgive certain sins (or amounts of sin) in a person. Is that person then doomed? Are we being deceived in some manner by church (and NT) teachings?

Oh so many questions.....so few answers. And at least one of these questions is indeed frightening....Is God unwilling to forgive our sins?

    God is great (but confusing)

What will happen when a situation arises when god will not forgive our sins? What will be the punishments provided by god for those who commit sins? As human beings we often commit sins and it has been fixed in our mind from our childhood that once we repent for our sins god will forgive us. But in today’s world when human beings are more dependent on scientific proofs I don’t think this question arises.
