Okay, to be honest here, I skimmed most of today's reading, without reading every word. I've read this before, and although I know I SHOULD be reading it word for word, I didn't. I'm not into the description of garments items of the tabernacle. But what I DID get out of this is, rules, rules, rules, again. And the assignment ends with Moses getting the first two tables of stone upon which God Himself supposedly wrote something with his 'finger'? Are God's hands the same size as man's???????? We have read earlier in the first chapter that man was created 'in the image of' 'us', that is, supposedly God and His angels. I have a hard time imagining God to look like a man. He is HUGE, He is EVERYWHERE. How can he have a physical appearance of man? Puzzling. But then, so is a lot of the Bible. Puzzling why God would be so exact in how He wanted the 'priestly garments' to be made. Doesn't that sound like a bit of overkill? I mean, down to the tassles, He describes what people were to wear.
I am not sure God is really that exacting in His instructions to us. I can see the 10 RULES He supposedly wrote down on the tablets, and that we should follow them (but most people don't, and if you remember my blog form the other day, most people can't even tell you more than 5 of the 10.

Oh well, enough rambling. Off to work. Am working on a lesson on Joseph for our Bible Study on Thursday. TONY, maybe yuou want to attend?

    God is Great!

What do they say faith is? Something about believing what we can't see and hoppingfor the best? I'm sure that is not quit right but you know what I mean. I agree with you on the design of the temple and the garments, it was rather elaborate. They say ours is not to wonder why but to just do. That has never worked for me. It all goes back to faith.

WHY ARE WE SO LAZY THAT WE CANNOT GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF OUR DAY!!!??? This applies to everyone except Mac. I know Mac is not perfect, far from it just ask him, but he IS consistent. I know, without a doubt, that when I log on to the blog 9 times out of 10 Mac has already been here. We say we want to grow yet we DON'T put ANY work into it. We say we believe in God yet we REFUSE to do ALL that he asks. This is my morning because I am lazy. I get the kids up and I lay back down, then I get up at wish start the laundry, shower, get dressed, make the bed, fold the clothes, clean the house, and by now I'm behind on everything else that I think I should be doing. What a bunch of CRAP!!!! I, you, we need to put God FIRST. All of our so called problems will take care of themselves in time, one way or another. If you , we, have things that are that important then we should get up earlier so that we can spend some time with God. Imagine this, your home, up early, say 4:30 or 5, that's when my dad is up, and your child, we will say son in this case since we are all men, your son gets up and walks all around you doing what he needs to do and does not say a word to you. Say you are an expert in your field and your son sits at the table with you and calls his friend, asks him a question that is your field of expertise. The friend has a good guess but not the right answer yet he still does not ask you for advice. a little later you hear your son getting life advice from a deadbeat friend. How would you feel? This is what we do to God on a daily basis. I will guarantee that when things get tough the first thing we ask God is why, then maybe we ask for help, from God. How many time have we ever thanked God for the hard times? Not so much as saying "thanks for the sickness or the debt" but thanks for what we still have. If your sick you still have friends, if your in debt you still have a home, a job. We tend to think that we need all this junk that we have yet in reality all we need is God and the essentials, food , clothing, and shelter.

    Mathew 6
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. ff that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Get off OUR lazy butts people and do what is right. Luv ya all

Only the high preist could enter the most holy place. If anyone can talk to God, why is it that he had his own place? Why was he able to segregate himself? hhmmm any way its snowing in the grapevine. i will have to take the long way home this weekend.

Tony, wow, strong words. Can you stick to it. i may not have been posting but i have been following in my readings with the blog. i have come here and read sams posts each day. There is always something to say. Even if it is only to encourage the brothers by commenting on their post. In my opinion a comment on someones post means you spent the time to read their thoughts and think about what they said. I always read Macs post before I read because it gives me something to think about. Do I agree or disagree. If I do why. Mac is an awesome teacher, leader and man of God (we differ sometimes)and he makes me think. I am not a book person as far as reading and getting info, but if you pose a question I will look for the answer in the reading lesson. As far as the strong words, I was and am mad at myself for my reoccuring laziness. We all try, but we just don't have our priorities right. It's easier when we get together, there is accountability. Everyone is in a different corner of the world, everyone has a reason we think is legit, bottom line is our priorities are wrong.
