I fear God. But i really dont believe tat i could do what Abraham did. I could not tie my son to an alter and set him up to be a sacrifice.no the thought wouldnt even cross my mind. Now back in the day a sacrifice was a normal action to show God your appreciation or love. Today, unless i dont know of them, a sacrifice is not offered. So in comparison to todays standards of thinking, I could not follow through.
Now in 21 i got a little confused about the treaty thing. Was that the land that God granted to the boy of the maid servant the treaty? so beersheba is the nation of Hagar's son?
23. God promised to make Abraham into a great nation. In this chapter the hittites start calling Abraham "Lord". Is this the begining of his kingdom? I also noted that he was givin the land and still insisted on paying for it.
