Acts 22. Hard to believe this is the 22nd day of April already. Where did the last twenty years go??????

Prejudice, Prejudice, Prejudice. WHY does this exist? Everyone who was in the audience on Britain's got Talent was prejudiced as Susan walked onto that stage. Everyone who saw 7 year old Landon Rulesfran walk up to the pool table was prejudicial BEFORE he started shooting and beat all the adults. A lot of people are prejudicial when they see someone who appears poor, disheveled and in raggedy dress. Most Americans are prejudicial now when they see someone in turban and jalabiyan type dress. Mr. Ahmadinejad demonstrated prejudice at UNESCO's Racism Conference in Geneva, Switzerland last week. Our current president received, and didn't receive, certain American votes because of prejudice. The Jews crowded around Paul showed extreme prejudice when he said he was going to the Gentiles to preach to them that God loved them as well.

    Terrible, Terrible, Terrible.

There are far too many examples of prejudice to even begin to form a list. Almost everyone demonstrates some sort of prejudice, and for varying reasons, and to different degrees, on a daily basis. This one sin, if eliminated, would be the second best thing God could do for mankind here on earth. Can you IMAGINE what the WORLD would be like if prejudice did not exist? No mistrust. No reason to start hating.

What prejudices do you harbor, and exhibit? Are you acting on those prejudices in a negative way, or have you found ways to overcome them, and act positively to change them?

I can't think of anything I am openly prejudice about. I do have an issue or two that I would be willing to discus one on one, but for the most part I work around things.

People don't want change. They want their religion and they want to follow it their way, wether they are correct or not. Wouldn't you want someone to show you the error of your way? If your were building a house and you framed the walls then put the plywood on you would think you were doing it right. But if you framed the wall, put the plywood on, then lifted the wall and set it in place, you would still have the same end result but now you know the correct way. It seems to me Paul is trying to inform the people about Jesus and they just don't want to hear. They know about God and they think that is all they need. It is amazing that when Paul starts to speak in their language they stop rioting and listen. How many times have we not listened because it was not in our language or they were different people, be it rich, poor, black, white. We all listen to our own people and language much faster than we do to others.

Its funny that all the Jews hear is the word gentiles. They don't hear that Paul went to the Jews first and was turned away. They don't hear his transfiguration story. They stop and listen because he speaks in their language but as soon as he say gentiles he is not fit to live.

We here Gods word all the time, we believe Gods word, we believe the ten commandments. How many times have we spoke up for the obvious broken commandment about not using God name in vain? We should react like the Jews (not as bad though) when we hear the Lords name in vain. People would stop doing that at least around us.
