1st Kings 20. Okay, so I’m REALLY confused now. I got lost in all the battles, but really don’t understand the bit about the prophet and his conversation with the king. Oh well.
The one thing that stood out to me today is the saying ‘One who puts on his armor should not boast like one who takes it off.' Meaning, don’t be so sure of yourself when you think you know what you are going to do , or what you are planning to do. God may have different plans for you than you think you have.

The ‘trick’ is to get God in your life so much that your plans turn out to be His plans---as you are always working together for the betterment of something or someone. Do you include God in you plans in all you do, or do you boast about what you are going to do (or have done) and not even asked God in prayer if it is a good thing to do. Now I realize you may not HEAR God answer, but that is not my point (He will answer in His own way), but just talking to God about it is really all you have to do. That way, He knows what you’re planning and will help you if it is for the good. However, if it is for selfish reasons, He may put stumbling blocks in your way. Yes, not good to boast about something until you and God have finished it…then, of course, boast in GOD, not yourself, for that accomplishment.
