??? I do not understand. my only guess is the people saw the cloud and assumed that moses and God were speaking face to face, and it simply was not true. and later in the same chapter Moses clerifies it by what vs 20 says. Reply to this

Sam says that Moses seemed pretty imprudent (is that the word Sam is looking for?) with God. "Remember that this Nation is your people." As if God might FORGET!!!! Then, Moses somehow convinces God with his forthrightness that God should travel with them, unlike what God said earlier. Do you talk like that to God?, Sam asks. Do you make yourself known to God as one who will stand up to Him and try to convince Him to do things YOUR way instead of His? Sam doesn't think so. Sam doesn't himself. Sam only believes he might be able to suggest to God something, and then hope that God will bless Sam with a positive response. Sam wants to know if you feel the same way or do you think you can actually change God's mind? It's an interesting topic for discussion, Sam thinks.
PS...Sam wrote the above....poetic license? I think not....sounds like someone else wrote it, now doesn't it? And you still think Moses wrote this book of Exodus?????? Sam thinks not. Reply to this

Thats a good one Mac. I have wondered that too about Moses. It seems that he had a close personal relationship with God,but to almost seemingly argue with him.I want to comment on chapter 32 and 33 since yesterday I was at a chamber of commerce thing for work all day.Anyway why did Aaron give in to the people when he knew the one true God?I think we can be that way today. How quick are we to turn from God when things are not going are way.We want everything that we pray for now.But God is on his time and he is always on time. Aaron also made an altar for the false idol. What is your idol?Money, career,or something sinful?
Then in Ch.33 when moses would go into the tent to speak to the Lord the people would worship at the entrance when they saw the cloud come down.I know for me when times are tough thats when I need to worship Him even more, but I dont.I try to figure it out on my own.I am working on it.I love the end of Ch.33 God said no one can see my face or they will die when my glory passes by. WOW now thats glory. What an awesome God. Reply to this
