King Lemuel's mother taught him some stuff here......where was his father as he was growing up? Maybe he was killed (lotsa kings back then lost their lives suddenly by actions of their enemies). Maybe he and his father didn't get along. Regardless, at least his mother took some interest to teach him some stuff. I think you men blogging are a lot better than perhaps King Lemuel's father was. I know you spend time teaching your children about God. I know you, for some part, sit down and read the Bible with your children and have family devotionals and studies. These types of lessons learned now will prove beyond value in your childrens' lives of the future. I encourage you to do it as often as you can. Speak up and judge fairly. I think you all judge fairly, other people most of the time. However, how often do we speak up to help others? I know Tony does quite a bit. I know Rik does to some extent, and I am SURE Rich does (although, because of distance between us, we don't get to know each other as well as I would like to learn more of that). I don't speak up very much for others. A little, but nowhere near as much as I am sure God wants me to.
Based upon responses, we'll continue this blog starting 1 April. What book would you like to do for April? I'll choose if I don't get any feedback. Please let me know your druthers. Reply to this

On Saturday night I watched Mac's wife and all I could think of was Proverbs 31. Rik made a comment about a woman's role, barefoot and pregnant. Then he made a joke about it being okay to wear shoes. He said "no offense" to Socorra (sorry, is that how you properly spell her name?) and she said she had no problem with that. She said she believed that her role was to "support her husband."
Mac, you have a great wife of noble character. I was so impressed with her service and kindness to everyone in your house. She never appeared stressed to have so many people in her house. She was happy and smiling and so proud of you. I commend you on whatever you have had to do in this situation and I hold up Socorra as a great woman of God.
Speaking of that, I was wondering if you would consider setting up a blog site for our wives. Or, does one already exist? This blog has been great for me and I believe it is great for all of you. I know something similar would be great for our wives. Is there any interest? I have discussed this with my wife and she says that she would join in. She used to be very spiritual and for the past month I have seen that spiritual spark return in her. I want to do all that I can to fan the flames. She has mentioned our blog to some of her friends and all of them think this is one of the neatest things that have ever heard of.
Mac, would Socorra be as consistent as you to keep the site moving from day to day? I am sure from what I saw at your house on Saturday that other women could be invited. My wife's closest spiritual friend through all of these bad years has expressed an interest. I am sure that it would be great.
If there is any cost involved, I will take care of that. And I could oversee and maintain if needed, but I need some teaching. I do not know how to set up and oversee a blog. Mac, could you teach me?

Such kind words, Rich...about my wife. And NO, I have had no impact on her....she has had an impact on ME. She has always had a heart of gold for everyone, but most of all, babies and little kids...you ought to see her around THEM!! I THINK she might do a blog, but not certain how regular she would be....maybe....oh, SocorrO....anyway, maybe if she knew your wife and someone else wanted to join, she would do so. I can set up a blot (like this one) at NO cost...I can teach you how to administer to it in 10 minutes. All you need is a password and login. I can set one up at this site I think, but might be like...blog2.macisirish.com...I will check it out and let you know. I can start it anytime you want (I think). Reply to this
