UGly days of the past, are what I am reminded of when reading verses 29 through 35. I have probably mentioned this before, but only because it was such a big part of my life. Most weekends were drinking weekends, and most certainly every party I got tipsy, if not outright drunk. So much money wasted. So many people hurt. All because of some stupid desire to feel the effects of alcohol. I still drink, but nowhere near what I used to. It is not for the high, or buzz anymore, but....well, I don't know why. Maybe the taste...I do LIKE the taste of good white wines, and various types of beer. I just now know when to stop drinking it on any given day. The preacher 'brags' about not having touched a drop of alcohol in his life. That's fine....that was his goal because of alcoholics being in his family line. Not sure I would be bragging about it...I don't go around bragging that I never raped or murdered anyone, and THOSE are sins, where as a touch of wine is merely a drink. ANYWHO....if any of you ever see me drinking too much, mention these verses to me to make sure I never go back from whence I came. Thank you.
