In as little as 471 words, not even a typewritten page full, the crucifiction and the painful sufferings of Jesus before that, are written here by Matthew. I suppose it was as hard for Matthew to have written these words, as it is for me to read them. I don't like reading about this part. I haven't cried lately when reading it, maybe because I don't read into it as much as I used to, because I don't like to read it.
To read about such pain and suffering, especially for our Lord, is beyond what I care to do. I would rather read the next chapter where He rises from the dead. THAT is good reading!!

I have never really felt pity for Judas until this morning. It says he was "he was seized with remorse", he also returned the money. I wonder if this was Godly sorrow or worldly sorrow. It would seem to be worldly because it led to death. I know if we all looked at our past we can find where we betrayed Jesus for less. What kind of sorrow do we have? or do we have any at all? when we the last time you (and I) have been seized with remorse for our sin? Obviously not seized enough to confess it to each other!

Tony I had no comment yesterday. I was just letting everyone know I read there comments. I did not have anything worth saying.

Jesus said it would be better to have not been born than to be the betrayer, do yo think he was forgiven?

19While Pilate was sitting on the judge's seat, his wife sent him this message: "Don't have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him."

HUSBANDS SHOULD LISTEN TO THERE WIVES!!

It is amazing how the words can cut you if you let them or how they can just be words if you read them. Jesus stood there and did not say a word in His defense. I don't know anybody who could or would do that. The flogging and the beating leave out so much disciption, to be unrecognizable was written in the old testament. When Jesus died and the holy people came to life out of their tombs where did they go? How long did they live? things that make you go hum. Glad to be in the word no matter how little,
