Whoa!!! (Again). It never ceases to amaze me...the more times I read this Bible, the more things jump out at me. Here's a King who holds a wedding banquet and can't get many to come, so he gets his servants to go get people. But they end up getting a guy who did not dress up for the occasion. So the King tied him up and threw him out. I realize this is demonstrating what getting into Heaven is going to be like. First, God gave mankind the opportunity to come to heaven. Of course, many, many did not, nor will not, choose to come. Then, He sent Jesus to get anyone He could find. He was successful in getting a lot over the years, however, some are not true followers--they don't have the 'clothes that Christ wore'. And they will not make it to heaven, in fact, will be thrown into hell. To wear what Christ wore, is to be like him, and put on the clothing of love, kindness and patience. Clothes of pure whiteness. I never noticed before that the king sent out his army to destroy and burn the cities of the people who had killed his servants. After all the death and destruction if you were to look at the time frame this had to be more that one night. Twice servants were sent out to get the people, how many times have we been invited to church or a study. The king sends out the servants a 3rd time and invites all the people on the street corners, the good and the bad, yet one person has the wrong clothes and he gets thrown out. What about the bad people? If we say that he is not clothed in Christ, was he the only bad person? Just a thought. Reply to this
