I believe we can take from Revelation 5 that Christ is worthy. Why? Because he died for the world's sin (verse 9). We already knew that. We knew that Christ was above all of us humans because he did not let temptation into his life and never sinned. But here, in this vision, in heaven, John says that the living creatures and the 24 elders, who were closest to God, also called Him worthy. As a matter of a fact, He was the ONLY one with enough worth to open these scrolls (as described in Revelation 6). If Christ is so high in Heaven, just imagine how high He is here on earth in our hearts. He is THE most worthy thing to be worshipped. More worthy than all the other things we treasure (money, love, sex, power, time, etc). Everything. I suppose we ought to take more time praising His Worthiness, but I don't thing we do it enough. Imagine, once again, ETERNITY. If we can get our minds 'wrapped around' this concept, and understand it, and that because of the worthiness of just one man, Jesus, we can spend that eternity in bliss, yes, we should be praising his worth a whole lot more than we do. I am going to praise him more today (I believe Rich said he was going to do that the other day). Hallelujah! Reply to this

Psalm 30. This Psalm is precisely what was going on in Heaven in John's vision in Revelation 3. Everyone was praising the worthiness of Jesus. In these first 3 verses of Psalm 30, David is praising God for helping him when he cried out and saved him from death. Jesus did the exact same thing for us when we cried out "Jesus is Lord". Praise be to God all the day. Reply to this

hey everybody! sorry, but this post is not in reference to today's scripture reading, but rather a request to meet saturday morn. i leave for the road early sunday. will be gone 2-3 months. so i would just enjoy meeting w/ y'all one more time b4 i go.
anyway if you can make it please reply to the blog. i am suggesting we meet at the macdonalds across from cobb hospital on austell road. this is in the same neighborhood as before when we met at borders and then fourbucks, sorry i mean starbucks. but i think is a better choice because should be quieter than starbucks and opens earlier than borders. this macdonalds opens at 5am on saturdays, i was going to suggest we start at 7 and end by 10, but if that is too early or too long please post what is best for you. me - i'm flexible.
i just have some spiritual questions that keep me up most nights, and would enjoy sharing my thoughts and hearing your thoughts. best if you can support w/ scripture ref.'s but not completely nec., as i can still appreciate your thoughts. its just that scripture gives more weight to what we believe.
anyway was going to post a list of suggested topics, i.e, the list of questions that i tend to ruminate at night when i really wish i could sleep instead. but i've got to leave now to pick up my daughter at school. i will post suggested topic list later, either today, or maybe tomorrow. Suggested Topics (no way we get to all of these, but at least it is a jumping off point.)
1. What existed before Creation, i.e., before Gen. 1:1?
2. This next question always raises the hair on the back of my neck, because i feel like I'm questioning the wisdom of God. But I still can't stop thinking about it. -- Instead of creating the Garden of Eden and having us endure our mortal lives on Earth, why didn't God just create us all in Heaven from day 1?
3. When will Christ return?
4. What is God's nature?
5. If Christ is omniscient, why does he not know the time of his return?
6. Do we worship 1 God or 3 Gods?
7. If we need to make a conscious decision to accept God's grace and if God is omniscient, then does God have foreknowledge of our salvation/damnation status before we decide to accept/not accept his grace? And if the answer is yes, doesn't this imply predestination? Because the laws of logic and reason state that knowing an event's outcome beforehand predetermines the event's result. Sort of like betting on a "fixed" horse race.
8. Is everyone borne with the same opportunity to enter Heaven?
9. When we get to Heaven, how long will we have to wait in line to hug Jesus?
10. In Heaven will there be any racial differences? What about gender differences? Age differences? Class or social standing differences? Intelligence differences? etc.
11. In Heaven what will we remember about our time on Earth?
12. Does Christ still have scars from the Crucifixion?
13. WARNING: This next question may offend you. -- As much as the Roman soldiers abused Christ before the Crucifixion, why or how did he escape being raped?
14. Why does The Holy Spirit have no voice in scripture?
15. The millennial reign of Christ - future event? present event? past event?
16. The Rapture - fact? or fiction?
17. Is it ever possible for a person's prayers to be futile, i.e., does God ever just completely ignore a person's prayer?
18. Why do we pray before we eat?
19. How often do you pray?
20. Does God ever still speak aloud to people today?
21. Is it sinful to not capitalize pronouns that reference a member of the Godhead, i.e., God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), or God the Spirit (Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost/The Counselor)?
22. Is it possible for a pastor who is lost and headed to Hell to lead a church , among whose members at least some are true Christians and headed to Heaven? Reply to this

good afternoon all,
I have been under the weather today, I am home sick today and tomorrow. My head is full of fuzzy stuff so I do not have much to say.
