I don't remember, BUT, ...oh yeah, now I do...rules. Mens rules don't necessarily decrease mens' desires to sin (sensual indulgence-whether it be sexually oriented or other ways of being pleased, such as wealth, fame and fortune). NO, mens' rules do not restrain feelings of indulgence. In chapter 3, Pauls tells about Christ's rules. Notice that these rules are permissive in nature, rather than restrictive. Read this chapter with that in mind, comparing mens' rules of 'stay off the grass' type instructions, vice Christ's rules to love others.
