Romans 9. I love Paul's arguments in this chapter...referring to historical facts, and describing how God's grace is what really counts, not any works which we do. Verse 16 says it all for this chapter. However, one must realize what works is, and why 'working for God' is important in a Chritian's life. It is not a salvation issue, however, one of deep thankfulness for what Christ has given us. We WORK because we appreciate so much the Grace He has bestowed upon us all. This chapter is somewhat confusing when Paul talks about Israel and who are Israel, and who are Gentiles. But, it makes no difference in the salvation of either group, as God will have mercy on who He desires to have mercy. Let's all hope He will have mercy on each of us, as we NEED it because of our sinful lives. Reply to this

Later.... still confusing I guess it is a good thing, Grace that is. gentiles would never have had the opportunity to have a relationship with God if it were not for grace! Reply to this
