Prov 9 (verses 8 and 9) Rebuke a wise man: "You gentlemen need to be more regular in your postings." Instruct a wise man: "Gentlemen, Wisdom and Folly both, reach out to us daily. It is up to you to determine the difference of the invitee---is it Wisdom with great rewards, or Folly, with great heartaches?" Teach a righteous man: "Gentlemen, Wisdom is quietly calling out to you. She is beckoning you through me to improve your time with God in the Bible. Folly, however, is boisterous in her calling of you. She is yelling for you to not get up 15 minutes earlier each morning so you won't make time for God. She is loudly proclaiming the earthly benefits of life with which she wants you to spend your time loving. I suggest you listen carefully through all the commotion Folly causes, so that you will be able to hear the pearls of Wisdom."
Acts 9 Well, here we have Saul, a mean old brute, suddenly changing his ways. So suddenly, that most followers of 'The Way' were scared that it was some sort of trick. Our lives should also have changed suddenly when we were baptized and decided to follow Jesus. At first, probably all of our lives DID change drastically. But how much of that has waned, or worn off, in the past few years. Paul (Saul, of course) taught about Jesus until the day he died, suffering enormous pain, agony and distress for his works. Our suffering, has not been like his, and we seemed to have fallen, if ever-so-slightly, from our purposes and followers of 'the Way'. The second part of this chapter dealt with the bringing back to life of one Dorcas, or Tabitha (which, according to man's inclusion in my Bible, means gazelle. God continues to do such miracles --- let's see what miracles we can see God doing today. If you see one, write about it today or tomorrow (that is, if you are blogging for God). Reply to this
